While looking for parts i found what was left of the shell of my Silvia and bought it back!
This is the journey from trashed shell to dream car again!
So here's what happened..
When i last saw it i looked like this....
When it came back it looked like this.. there was clearly going to be alot of work.
Firstly i had to repair the damage to the core support and replace the engine bay harness. Then find the missing body & chassis parts and some kind of engine & transmission. Fortunately the last time i owned this car almost everything i took off when i modified it simply ended up in the shed so alot of it went back on temporarily, Like Brakes, coilovers, control arms and hubs, bumper and trunk lock. some other parts were sourced from the other s13 i was working on and viceversa. the widebody for example was donated to the other project as i prefer stock quarters.
I wasn't sure what to do, when i fist bought this car it was 100% stock with an s13 sr20det, at the time they were cheap and plentiful, these days however No affordable Turbo SR20's were in stock anywhere local, but i found an S15 N/A motor. It seemed like the quickest way to get this car back on the road. When i owned this car the first time it was supposed to get an RB26 head + RB30 block, i even still have the wiring harness i made for rb26 into s13.. it still might, but for now I'm planning to just do a simple turbo kit and standalone on the SR.
I got 5lug hubs, Bomex Bonneville Sideskirts, Chargespeed style Vented Fenders for wheel clearance and a Plastic S13 Silvia Aero Bumper, finally had a use for the Kei Office R32 GTR Wheels. Next order from japan included a Bomex Bonneville rear valence and what i think is the matching rear wing. just waiting on the front lip and the looks will be back how i intended then it's just a matter of the paint job.
