This is the brief story of my S12.
When i decided i needed a dedicated daily driver / Winter car i was lucky enough to come upon this s12 for sale on the forums it needed some love but nothing i couldn't handle! It was an 87 Turbo which meant it was e-test exempt which was nice at the time!
I Converted the front end to 84 Marker lights and grill, which i thought was a nice improvement, replaced one fender, found the missing rear interior, repaired some electrical issues, replaced the turbo with a bigger sr20 turbo fitted an inter cooler and had a new exhaust made. I more than doubled the boost and drove it around for quite sometime.
Eventually i couldn't help it, i got a great deal on a CA18DE and had enough leftovers from friends to convert to a CA18DET, i took the opportunity to install HKS Cams, S15 T28 Turbo, Z32 Maf and RX7 injectors + a ROM tune. Funny enough on the way to do the swap the engine sucked a rock into the turbo and sent metal everywhere the old 1.8 sohc didn't even care though.
After this went in the car got s13 front hubs and coilovers, sadly shortly after the headgasket let go, off the shelf rom tunes = bad idea
